AERE Fellows Award
In 2005, the AERE Fellows program was instituted to recognize outstanding contributions to the advancement of the profession of environmental and resource economics.   Awardees will have demonstrated a significant contribution to the advancement of the profession of environmental and resource economics. A candidate must be living at the time of nomination; membership in AERE is not required.


AERE Publication of Enduring Quality
The Publication of Enduring Quality award is presented by the AERE Board of Directors annually to authors/co-authors for a publication of enduring quality that appeared at least five years prior to the year of the award. Nominated works are evaluated on their seminal nature and enduring value.


The Ralph C. d’Arge and Allen V. Kneese Award for Outstanding Publication in the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists
Each year, AERE selects an outstanding research paper published in the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists during the calendar year.
 

European Lifetime Achievement Award in Environmental Economics
The Award recognises those who have devoted themselves productively and persistently to communicating and enriching our endowment of knowledge in environmental economics.
Eligible candidates are those who: have already retired or are about to retire (It is accepted that for most nominees, the idea of 'retirement' is notional); have been significantly involved in the profession in Europe, e.g. by working here, or contributing regularly to the EAERE annual meetings and/or Summer School; have made an outstanding and sustained contribution to the field, including some combination of scholarship, institutional development and communication/dissemination.
The prize is awarded in even years only if one or more awardees deserving the prize have been nominated.

 

European Practitioner Achievement Award in Applying Environmental Economics
The Award recognises Practitioners in the policy or business arena who have made signal contributions in the application of economic ideas.
Eligible candidates are those who work or do substantive business in Europe; have demonstrated courage and skill in successfully achieving the implementation of environmental economics ideas.The prize is awarded in even years only if one or more awardees deserving the prize have been nominated.

 

EAERE Award for Outstanding Publication in the Journal Environmental and Resource Economics
The EAERE Award for Outstanding Publication in the Journal Environmental and Resource Economics (ERE), recognizes exemplary research published in ERE during the past year. Any article published in ERE during the preceding year is eligible for this award. The Award is given annually and announced at the EAERE Annual Conference. Thanks to the kind support of the Journal publisher, Springer, winners are awarded with Springer books vouchers to the value of EUR 550 and a cash amount of EUR 750, to be divided equally between co-authors.

 

European Achievement Award for Researchers in Environmental Economics under the Age of Forty
The European Achievement Award for Researchers in Environmental Economics under the Age of Forty is a recognition given every year to the environmental economist under the age of forty who is judged to have made the most significant contribution to environmental economic thought and knowledge. If there is a significant body of joint work, the prize may be awarded jointly to two recipients provided that both recipients are under the age of forty. The Award is honorary and materially consists of Springer books vouchers to the value of EUR 1.000.

 

EAERE Award for ERC Grants laureates in the field of environmental and resource economics
The “EAERE Award for ERC Grants laureates in the field of environmental and resource economics” intends to recognize the scientific excellence of ERC individual grantees (Starting Grants, Consolidator Grants and Advanced Grants). It aims at welcoming Awardees to the EAERE community by granting them a complimentary membership for the time of their ERC Grants. Awardees are offered to publish regularly outputs of their research projects via the EAERE magazine, communication channels and social networks, so that EAERE members will be constantly updated about the progresses of the results of frontier research in Europe.
