Field experiments were conducted at the EAERE Annual Conferences held in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2022 and 2023. These experiments lead or will soon lead to interesting publications that contribute to the advancement of research in our field.

EAERE would like to continue taking advantage of the valuable opportunity offered by its Annual Conferences to conduct field experiments. Interested members are invited to send to eaere@eaere.org their proposals for conducting a field experiment at the 29th EAERE Annual Conference, to be held in Leuven (Belgium) on 1-4 July 2024.

Proposals should include:

(1) a description of the institution and research group intending to conduct the experiment;

(2) a description of the experiment and an opinion of the bioethics committee or equivalent body of the institution with which members proposing the experiment are affiliated;

(3) a budget for carrying out the experiment from which it is clear that all expenses related to the experiment itself will be covered by the proposer, including the cost of any local staff to provide support;

(4) in the event that the participation of the local organiser is necessary for the realisation of the experiment and depending on the type of contribution envisaged by the experiment, information on whether or not the local organiser is willing to be included among the authors of the experiment.

Proposals will be evaluated by the EAERE Council and the EAERE 2024 Local Organising Committee.

Proposals will be accepted until 20 Dec 2023.

Feedback to applicants is expected to be given by mid-January 2024.
