The European Job Market for Environmental and Resource Economists will be held virtually within the 26th EAERE Annual Conference.
EAERE is the biggest and most prominent scientific association in the field of Resource and Environmental Economics worldwide. Its annual conference attracts every year up to 800 participants from academic institutions, the public sector, and the private industry. There are attendees from around 80 countries from Europe and beyond who research and operate in the field of resource and environmental economics. Its high level of registrations confirms the Conference importance and is therefore an excellent opportunity for advertisement and networking in the field of environmental and resource economics.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB MARKET
The European Job Market for Environmental and Resource Economists aims to offer the two sides of the market - institutions with open positions and candidates looking for a job - a virtual place to meet and look for the best match. Candidates, universities, public and private institutions and corporations taking part in the 26th EAERE Annual Conference (EAERE 2021) are invited to apply to participate in the Job Market.
HOW WILL IT WORK
The Job Market will be held virtually within the 26th EAERE Annual Conference, through the EAERE Conference platform and the EAERE website.
The EAERE website will host a web page showcasing job market candidates’ and recruiters’ profiles. The web page will be open to the EAERE 2021 registered participants only.
The networking area will be hosted by Remo, a so-called table platform which allows for sophisticated digital events. Table platforms are video conference systems which allow for broadcasting (one-way streaming) options as well as networking opportunities in a comprehensive environment. Its’ highlight is a digital customized foyer which will be designed in the style of a conventional foyer and will allow networking, exhibitions and demonstration/dissemination.
Imagine a foyer equipped with tables and surrounded by exhibition booths - just in the virtual realm. Recruiting institutions will have the possibility to have a customised booth showcasing their profile and activities, in addition to their open job positions. Job market candidates and all the Conference registered participants can freely enter the booths, get the information available or talk to the recruiter’s referent. Interviews will be arranged individually between recruiters and candidates in a separate environment, but may also be hosted in one of the tables in the foyer.
Each table allows for private video conversation with just 2 or up to 8 people to enable discussion and networking.
APPLICATIONS
Recruiters
The ‘Recruiter Application Form’ must be filled in, in order to be inserted in the EAERE 2021 Job Market web page and to get a virtual booth in the Remo platform foyer. A referent person of the recruiting institution will have to register in the Conference.

Candidates
