Registrations are open!

The conference will take place in person.
Online participation is available to attend the plenary, thematic, and policy sessions in streaming mode.
In any case, all presenters must attend in person: remote presentation is not foreseen.
Registration is required for both in-person and online participation.

EAERE membership in the year 2023 is a requirement to attend the Conference. Non-members are requested to join EAERE as part of the Conference registration process.

Participants (in particular those who have an accepted paper) are requested to use the same email account for the registration and for their Anymeets account (conference programme website).

Description of Registration Categories

• Premium registration fee: Includes access to all sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, welcome reception, social event and conference dinner. Please note that registration for the conference dinner is subject to availability. Please choose this registration fee category if you would like to provide additional support to the Association. Otherwise you can opt out and pay a standard and lower registration fee.
• Standard registration fee: Includes access to all sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, welcome reception, social event and conference dinner. Please note that registration for the conference dinner is subject to availability.
• Premium registration fee without conference dinner: Includes access to all sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, welcome reception, social event. Please choose this registration fee category if you would like to provide additional support to the Association. Otherwise you can opt out and pay a standard and lower registration fee. The conference dinner is NOT included.
• Standard registration fee without conference dinner: Includes access to all sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, welcome reception, social event. The conference dinner is NOT included.
• EAERE member: EAERE members who are in good standing in the calendar year 2023.
• EAERE member at reduced fee*: The category includes EAERE members in good standing in the calendar year 2023 AND who are entitled to a reduced membership fee*.
• EAERE membership for 2023 is bundled with the registration fee.
• EAERE membership for 2023 at reduced fee* is bundled with the registration fee. This category applies only for those who are entitled to a reduced membership fee*.

* Reduced fee. A reduced fee applies to:

• STUDENTS
• RESIDENTS IN LOW INCOME, LOWER-MIDDLE-INCOME and UPPER-MIDDLE INCOME ECONOMIES, in accordance with the World Bank classification.

Registration Fees (in Person Participation)

** During the registration process, new members can opt for a triennial membership or purchase, in addition to the annual membership, a one-year subscription to the print version of one or both journals Environment and Resource Economics (ERE) and Review of Environmental Economics and Policy (REEP). Subscription prices will be added to the total registration fee. AERE members can apply for the secondary membership. Further info on the EAERE membership is available at EAERE website.

Accompanying Persons

Accompanying persons can be registered by conference participants during the registration process. Accompanying persons’ registration includes access to the welcome reception and social event. (Access to sessions, coffee-breaks and lunches is not included.) The conference dinner is included for those who pay for the conference dinner. Note that registration for the conference dinner is subject to availability.

CO₂ OFFSET

For many years EAERE has been giving participants the possibility to offset the CO₂ emissions related with their participation to the Annual Conference and thereby successfully contribute to mitigate the EAERE Conferences carbon footprint. Both in-person and online participants are encouraged to consider this opportunity. You can opt for not compensating, compensating with a contribution of EUR 16.00 (corresponding to 1ton of CO₂), or EUR 32 and EUR 64 in case you would like to offer a higher support to this initiative.
Participants opting for compensation can choose which project to support from the following two projects.

PROMOTIONAL CODES

Publishers and other specific participants will be sent a promotional code prior to registration. You should only try to register using a promotional code if you were sent one by EAERE.

PAYMENTS

You can pay your registration fee with credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), or via bank transfer or Western Union Money Transfer. We do encourage you to use your credit card for payment.

Please note that an administrative fee of EUR 20 will be charged on payments made via bank transfer or Western Union Money Transfer. Moreover, any charges are the responsibility of the payee and are to be paid at the source in addition to the registration fee. Your payment will otherwise not be accepted!

Once the payment process is completed, you can download your receipt at the EAERE members password protected area autonomously, at any time. All payments need to be settled in advance of the conference.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Registration can be cancelled upon written notification to eaere@eaere.org, with the following conditions:

• No refunds of the administrative fee of EUR 20 (if charged), the EAERE membership fee, the subscription to the print version of the journal Environmental and Resource Economics (ERE), and the subscription to the print version of the journal Review of Environmental Economics and Policy (REEP) will be given. Bank fees will be charged on all refunds.
• Full refund of the registration fees will be given for cancellation requests received by May 10th, 2023.
• No refunds of the registration fees will be given for cancellation requests received after May 10th, 2023.
• There will be no refund for no-shows.
• The conference organisers do not take the responsibility of force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic preventing the organisers from running the event, major strikes, war, etc.). In such cases, EAERE will decide upon refunding of paid conference fees.
• Note that in case of failed visa applications, there will a reimbursement of the fee (details of the refund as already described for the other cases).

VISA

Travelling to Cyprus is easy. The documentation required varies, depending on your nationality. A valid passport is required for a stay of up to 90 days for all bona fide tourists except citizens of European Union countries, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway who may enter Cyprus with their national identity card provided it bears a photo. Some non-EU third country nationals require a visa.
EU countries, commonwealth countries and the USA do NOT need a visa. Schengen Visa holders are allowed to enter the Republic of Cyprus. The Schengen Visa has made traveling between 25 member countries (22 European Union states and 3 non-EU members) much easier and less bureaucratic. Traveling on a Schengen Visa means that the visa holder can travel to any (or all) member countries using one single visa, thus avoiding the hassle and expense of obtaining individual visas for each country. A Schengen visa allows the holder to travel freely within the Schengen countries for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in a 6 month period.

Citizens of these countries are not required to have Cyprus visa for a stay of up to 90 days, provided they are bona fide visitors

Citizens of these countries are required to have an entry visa to Cyprus.

The LOC will, on request, provide an invitation letter to conference participants who need to obtain a visa.

Please register for the conference (which includes the payment of the registration fee) and then request an invitation letter by sending your request to synedrio@topkinisis.com, together with:

    a. Registration Confirmation
    b. Paper Title and Paper ID number
    c. Affiliation
    d. Country of Residence
    e. Passport Number

Incomplete requests will not be considered.

Please do allow ample time, as the process of applying for a visa can be lengthy.
