The Environment for Development Initiative (EfD) is an international network of environmental economics think tanks. We build domestic centers of excellence in research, policy interaction and academic programs with a focus on environmental issues and poverty alleviation in the developing world.

Today, EfD consists of over 160 accomplished environmental economists with many different specializations, who are active in leading local academic research institutions.
